Scotland to welcome Syrian refugees by Christmas

The Convention of Scotland’s Local Authorities (COSLA) has stated that Scotland’s local authorities are committed to receiving up to 2,000 refugees from camps around Syria, with many arriving before Christmas.

From COSLA’s press release of October 2nd, “COSLA today (Thursday) confirmed that Scotland’s councils stand ready, willing and able to take at least 2,000 refugees with many Councils having plans to take them immediately and Syrians arriving in many communities by Christmas.”
